My Taekwondo Journey

by Ebony

Hello My name is Ebony and I am 16 years old. My dad also posts on here, you may know him he's Lee.

Well my taekwondo journey started about 6 years ago when me, my sister and our friend decided we would join. I don't remember my first lesson from back then but i do remember getting to green belt and doing some competitions. After a while though me and my sister decide to quit and that was the end.

Up until during the Christmas holidays of 2009 I wasn't really fussed about it. Then I realized how much fun it was and how it helped keep me fit. This was when I decided to take it up again.

I have now been doing it again for a couple of months and I'm really enjoying it. I remembered most of the moves and patterns and luckily get to re-take for my green belt on 28/03/10. I also hope to get back into competitions as it was really fun (:

I will keep updating (:

Hi Ebony

Thanks for getting in touch - and good for you for starting your journey again. It's never easy to come back from a break!

It's good that you and your Dad are training together because you will spur each other on. We find that training as a taekwondo family helps us so much!

Good luck with your belt test and if you can send us a picture of yourself in your next post that would be fantastic.

Thanks and happy kicking

So Proud

Hi Ebz,

I don't often say it but i am so proud of you for taking up taekwondo again after a 4 year absence from it.
I marvel at your abilities considering the time scale involved and the way you took to the training regime and how your skills at it were still there after so long .

It was partially due to this the made me decide to give taekwondo a go , and i haven't looked back , and i really have to thank you for showing me the way.

Lots of love Dad.
