Carl Claassens shows the power of full splits on the Great Wall

by Master Ron
(Sydney Northen Beaches)

In 2006 we took a group of students to Korea and China.

Our aim was first to experience taekwondo in the 'motherland' and then to try shaolin Kung Fu at the shoalin monestry in Hunan.

We managed to take in some brilliant sights including the Great Wall of China.

And of course we couldn't miss the photo opportunity!

So we donned our doboks and did a photo shoot. My son Carl has been training in tkd since he was 6 years old he is now 21. In this photo he was nearly 18. He shows unbelievable flexibility and power to sustain this stretch for the shot.

Carl is a second degree black belt with the IMT , his dad is Master Ron.

Deb's reply:

Brilliant photo Master Ron!

As you say Carl shows amazing strength and flexibility. And the fantastic, historic background really makes the shot special.

Thanks so much for sharing it with us.
